Install FireGuard on Fire TV

Follow this simple guide to sideload FireGuard on your device.

Total time: ~3–5 minutes per device

Install the 'Downloader' App

  1. Open Search on your Fire TV
  2. Type "Downloader"
  3. Select the orange Downloader icon and install it

Enable App Installation

  1. Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options
  2. Click Install Unknown Apps
  3. Ensure it is turned ON (or ON for the Downloader app once installed)

Download and Install FireGuard

  1. Open Downloader
  2. Enter URL: https://fireguard.tv
  3. Click Go → Download FireGuard → Install

Open FireGuard & Get Pairing Key

  1. Open the FireGuard app
  2. You will see a Pairing Key on the TV screen

Pair Device (On Your Phone/Laptop)

  1. Log in to your dashboard at fireguard.tv
  2. Go to Devices and click Add Device
    Add Device Button
  3. Enter Device details
    Enter Device Details
  4. Enter the Pairing Key displayed on your TV
    Enter Key
    Confirm Key
  5. Click Accept
    Success

Confirmation

The device will now appear as Online in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

Can't install?

Make sure 'Install Unknown Apps' is enabled in Developer Options.

Device offline?

Check power and Wi-Fi. FireGuard reconnects automatically.

Developer Options missing?

Go to About > Fire TV Stick > Click the name 7 times rapidly to unlock Developer Mode.
